Pool Deck Pavers
Built for Florida.

Your pool deck is the surface your family walks on every day of a Central Florida summer. The difference between one that feels like a resort and one that scorches bare feet, flakes after two seasons, or pitches water toward the foundation — is entirely in the preparation and material selection. We build them to perform the way they should, for the next thirty years.

Why Pavers

Concrete around pools
is the wrong choice.

Poured concrete slabs next to pools crack from ground movement and the constant wet-dry cycle. Once cracked, they're trip hazards — and full resurfacing is expensive. Pavers flex with ground movement, individual pieces replace cleanly, and properly selected materials stay dramatically cooler than dark concrete in Florida's summer heat.

Travertine is the material most Central Florida pool decks should be built with and rarely are. It stays cooler underfoot in direct Florida sun than any concrete paver alternative — which matters when you're barefoot in July. It's slip-resistant when wet, holds up to pool chemicals without degrading, and ages well in this climate. We are official Belgard installers and work with Travertine, Limestone, and premium Belgard and Pavestone paver systems depending on the project and the client's priorities.

The material selection matters. So does the drainage engineering beneath it. A pool deck that pitches water toward the foundation or pools at the edges fails structurally long before it looks wrong. We design the drainage before any material decisions are made — it's the part no one sees until it fails, and the part that determines whether the surface holds for the next thirty years.

Pool Deck · Windermere, FL

Travertine stays cooler underfoot in direct Florida sun than any alternative — the natural stone reflects rather than absorbs heat

Properly engineered drainage directs water away from the pool and the house — a technical requirement, not an optional upgrade

Slip-resistant surface textures selected for wet barefoot use — the material choice determines safety, not just aesthetics

Chlorine and chemical-resistant materials that don't degrade, stain, or pit under pool water exposure

Full integration with the pool coping — the deck and the edge designed as one surface, not two separate jobs

5-year installation warranty — if the base is wrong, we fix it. It hasn't happened, but that's what the warranty means.

How We Build

The installation process

Pool deck installation requires more precision than a standard patio. Drainage and safety tolerances aren't optional.

01

Site & Safety Assessment

We assess the pool surround, drainage conditions, grade, and proximity to pool equipment and the structure. Safety requirements inform material and layout selection.

02

Material Selection

Travertine, tumbled pavers, brushed concrete — each has different heat reflectance and grip characteristics. We'll walk you through the right options for your situation.

03

Base & Drainage

Pool deck drainage is critical — water must move away from both the pool edge and the home foundation. We grade and base before any material goes down. This is where most failures start.

04

Installation & Edging

Pavers laid to pattern, cut precisely at pool coping and perimeter edges, compacted and jointed. Flush finish against pool coping with no trip hazards.

Common Questions

Pool Deck FAQs

How much does a paver pool deck cost in Orlando?

Most Central Florida pool decks in the $12,000–$22,000 range. Travertine at the upper end; paver options mid-range. Full itemised quote before you commit — the price you see is the price on the invoice.

What's the best material for a Central Florida pool deck?

Travertine is our most recommended material for pool decks in this climate. It's a natural stone that stays significantly cooler underfoot than concrete pavers in direct Florida sun — which matters when you're barefoot in July. It's also slip-resistant when wet, naturally beautiful, and holds up to pool chemicals without degrading. Belgard and Pavestone pavers are excellent alternatives for clients who prefer a more geometric look or a specific colour range. We'll show you the options on-site.

Can you replace my existing concrete pool deck?

Yes. We remove the existing deck, assess the base, and install properly. Installing over existing concrete is not something we do — it creates uneven surfaces and eventually fails.

Is the pool area safe to use during installation?

We section off the work area and maintain safe access where needed. Pool use is limited during installation. We'll discuss the timeline and access plan before work begins.
